By 1880, Spalding had finished his Kealia estate and named his home “The Valley House.” The Colonel was renowned for his lavish entertaining of aristocratic guests and sumptuous festivities. Historic features abound on the property.  Throughout the years Valley House was used as a military base of operations during World War II, as well as a hotel. Hotel use may be grandfathered as a current permitted use.
