Anini, Kauai

Anini Beach, a mecca for windsurfers, lies just below the bluffs of the Princeville Resort community. Everything from modest frame houses to spectacular estates dot a beachfront road that hugs the cliffs, and the long, tranquil stretch of beach is protected by one of Hawaii’s longest reefs. Because it shields Anini from the open ocean, it is one of the safest beaches on the North Shore. There is also a polo field and a county park—a popular site for picnics, barbecues, and overnight camping.
