Continuing west from Kalaheo, you will pass Eleele, the residential outskirts of Hanapepe Town and Port Allen. Hanapepe proclaims itself “Kauai’s Biggest Little Town,” with many art galleries, pottery studios and quaint little eateries. This charming town along the Hanapepe River attracts moviemakers and artists. Reminiscent of the Old West, many structures are old enough to be listed on the National Historic Register.
