Taste of Hawaii- Kauai’s Ultimate Sunday Brunch

The 24th Annual Taste of Hawaii, commonly referred to as “The Ultimate Sunday Brunch”, will be hosted at Smith’s Tropical Paradise in Wailua, Kauai, on June 3rd by the Rotary Club of Kapaa. This notable event brings together 50 of Hawaii’s top chefs, more than 15 beverage vendors and numerous musical groups to entertain patrons while shopping the large silent auction. The event lives up to its name with a dazzling array of cuisine to satisfy every palate, and a selection of beverages to quench your thirst as you meander through the beautiful gardens of Smith’s Tropical Paradise on Kauai.

Attendees are invited to vote on their favorite dishes and drinks within different categories such as Favorite Seafood, Favorite Meat & Poultry and Favorite Vegetarian fare.  For the chefs that are showcased, winning this competition means bragging rights for their talent, as well as their restaurants.

The Taste of Hawaii is the Rotary Club of Kapaa’s largest fundraising event of the year, and helps to provide much of the funding needed to support the organization’s philanthropic goals including scholarships for college-bound and vocational studies students, as well as contributions to other Kauai non-profit organizations including the Kauai Food Bank, and Child and Family Services.  Our fellow Sleeping Giant Sotheby’s Int’l Realty Agent and Rotary Club of Kapaa member, Paula O’Very-Saylor has chaired this event for eight years.

If you happen to be on Kauai on June 3rd, The Taste of Hawaii is a not-to-be-missed event. Last year a few of my favorite dishes were top winners, I can’t wait to see what the chefs come up with this year. Cheers!
